Note the New Samsung Note Edge and Samsung Note 4
Samsung Note 4 and Samsung Note Edge is playing a rat race in the market. Both the phones, with almost similar features, are anticipated to drive away the entire market to a greater horizon. However, when both these phones are weighed on a scale, it is very difficult to choose one over the other.
When the physical appearance of the phone is considered, both the phones are almost similar in their dimensions and their net weight, as the Note 4 weighs around 176g, while the Note Edge weighs around 174g. Hence, there is not much of a difference.
When the display of the phones is considered, Note Edge offers a higher resolution of 1600 × 2560, when compared to Note 4 with 1440 × 2560 pixels. However, the screen size of Note 4 (5.7inch) is slightly greater than that of Note Edge (5.6inch). Nevertheless, these miniscule changes would not make much of a difference.
Both the phones are launched on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat version. Both the phones are integrated with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, offering a Quad core 2.5GHz processor.
When the memory storage of the phones is considered, the Note Edge offers options as 16GB internal storage and 32GB internal storage. While Note 4 does not give any room for such options and come only with a 16 GB internal storage capacity. However, both the phones come with a 3GB RAM and 126GB expandable memory.
When the camera is considered, both the phones offer a 16MP primary camera and a 3.7MP secondary camera, coupled with LED flash. Other features like dual shot, simultaneous video recording and so on are offered by both the phones. Other feature like accelerometer, proximity, UV, gyro sensors are offered by both the phones.
When battery capacity is considered, Note 4 offers a slightly higher capacity when compared to Note Edge, which however makes not much of a difference.
Note 4 is approximately priced at $935, while Note Edge is approximately placed at $1055, Techno Buffalo reported.
Looking at all these features, Note 4 would be a wise choice. However, decisions may vary as the Note Edge is expected to hit the market in the next 3-4 months.
