What's New with GoPro Hero 4 Silver? Comparing New Silver Hero 4 with Previous Hero 3 Models
The silver GoPro Hero 4 edition is like the GoPro Hero 3 black edition, but the new silver edition is still a powerful one, as it comes with an LCD touchscreen feature. The Hero 3 was regarded as last year's top end gadget. Let's compare the ne Hero 4 to the previous Hero 3 device.
The design of GoPro Hero 4 silver looks very similar to the previous Hero 3 silver edition. Except, Hero 4 silver comes with a 1.5-inch touch screen on its back. This allows users to playback instantly without transferring the footage to another device. Hero 4 silver uses intuitive swiping so it's pretty easy to use.
Hero 4 silver also performs a lot like its previous Hero 3 black. Yet, the sensor for Hero 4 upgraded, which is also the case with the Hero 4 black version. Hero 4 silver's highest recording resolution is 4K at 15 fps, 2.7k at 30fps, and 1440p at 48fps.
Hero 4 silver has a smaller battery, and the battery is now placed at the bottom of the camera. The battery life hasn't improved, but this is pretty much you get from its competitors too. Hero 4 allows less than 2 hours of video recording, given that the LCD is turned off whenever it's not in use. This saves the battery life. The camera's stabilization feature also needs improvement. The same can be said about Hero 4's zooming quality and night mode.
Yet, Hero 4 silver surely takes images with top-notch quality. This action camera might even be the best of its kind in the market today.
