'Prometheus 2' News, Release Date: Michael Green Was Hired to Fill up the Vacant Spot, No More Xenomorph
"Prometheus 2" premiere date is set for first quarter of 2016
It was initially set for 2015 but due to several production issues, the filming was delayed. First, the production has been delayed because the head screenwriter, Damon Lindelofs, decided not to pursue writing the scripts for the film. Michael Green was hired to fill up the vacant spot, Green is clearly not a newcomer, he already did several writing projects under Blade Runner, Smallville and Heroes. Ridley Scott stays as the movie director.
As for who's coming back, only Elizabeth Shaw (Naomi Rapace) and headless David (Michael Fassbender) were confirmed to be part of the film. Still, Guy Pearce and other actors expressed their interest in joining the official roster.
To add to your excitement, here's the unofficial plot of the story shared by The Wrap.
""Prometheus" starred Noomi Rapace as Elizabeth Shaw, a God-fearing archaeologist tasked with finding the Engineers, an alien race that served as the architects of humanity. Fassbender co-starred as an android named David, whose remains, by the end of the film, helps the sole human survivor Shaw launch an Engineer spacecraft bound for their home planet. The last shot featured an alien creature bursting out of an Engineer's chest, and a sequel will likely incorporate that terrifying development."
The infamous Xenomorph is also said to be absent on the sequel and Scott confirmed it by saying, "The beast is done. Cooked." Well, that line marks the end of all plot-speculation including the alien. If Xenomorph is out, then what's out there for the surviving characters. Clearly, we're still in the dark here.
Thankfully, "Prometheus 2" star Naomi Rapace shed some light on this matter. In an exclusive interview of MTV to Naomi, she dropped some hints on what the next threat will be.
"I know that Elizabeth Shaw wants to go to paradise, she can't go to earth because there's nothing left for here there really, She wants to go where they came from, these giants these creatures, its like a dark paradise. God or devil, I don't know where she's going to take us and I'm excited." Naomi said.
