The Sinister Six Release Date and News: Movie Might Just Save Sony, Surviving the Marvel Comics Movie Race, for Another Amazing Spider Man Movie
It seems that companies that attempted to make something out of the Marvel Comics are performing poorly, except the Marvel Studios, of course. The Amazing Spider Man is one of them. The first "The Amazing Spider Man" had a good start, but the second one wasn't as good as the first, and it appears that Sony is trying to find a way to survive the Marvel Comics movie race. The Sinister Six movie scheduled for 2016 seems to be one of Sony's survival tactics.
The pressure is on for Sony, as they could lose their Spider Man license if they can't come up with a new Spider Man movie every three years. Otherwise, the license goes back to the Marvel Studios. Now, Sony is about to produce a spin-off: the Sinister Six movie to make something out of the license, and if successful, Sony could plan a possible "The Amazing Spider Man 3" movie.
This could mean the end for The Amazing Spider Man film series if Sony can't come up with a successful spin-off. Yet, this also means that we could expect a potentially great Sinister Six movie, given the pressure that Sony is under nowadays.
Based on the original version, The Sinister Six is about the spiderman's six villains: Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, Mysterio, and Sandman. In the previous Amazing Spider Man movies, you already saw several Spiderman villains, including the Green Goblin, played by Dane Dehaan, and according to The Global Dispatch, Dane has reportedly signed a contract with the Villain-centric movie earlier.
The Sinister Six is scheduled to hit the movie screens on November 11, 2016.
