iPad Mini 3 Specs, Review, Latest News: What's inside the iPad Mini 3 and what sets it Apart from its Predecessors?

With the recent iPad Mini 3 release, a lot of tablet users may ask this question: what is the difference between the previous iPad Mini versions and the new iPad Mini 3? Apparently, there isn't really much; however, while this is so, there is that one key addition to Apple's new tablet that gives it an edge within the tablet world.

IFixit, a known repair team, has taken a look at this latest addition to the tablet industry and revealed to us more about the iPad Mini 3 specs, components and other stuff. Essentially, the iPad mini 3 is the same as the iPad Mini 2. Both tablets have basically similar equipments-Apple's A7 processor, 1GB worth of RAM as well as a 5 mega-pixel iSight camera. The changes begin, however, when it comes to the finishes-a touch of gold has been added to the silver and gray space, the storage options have been adjusted from 16GB and 64 GB and now to 128GB, each storage addition requiring an additional $100 to the price. More importantly, the Home button now has a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

The fingerprint sensor is a particularly useful tool especially for corporate and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) users; not only will it save more time as compared to when one still has to type out an entire passcode, but it also allows for more a personalized and stronger security.

When it comes to repairability, however, the iPad Mini 3 was given a low score of 2 out of 10 (in which 10 means easiest to repair) as compared to its predecessors.
