Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 updates: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 release date set for June 3, 2016, facing formidable competition at the Summer box office.
Opening that same period is the action-adventure flick, Uncharted; Pixar's sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory; and Seth Rogen's R-movie, Sausage Party.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes. Paramount Pictures will handle film distribution.
"To know movie goers are embracing the Turtles with such enthusiasm is everything that we and all our filmmakers have been hoping for," said Paramount chairman and CEO Brad Grey.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie franchise is based on the 1984 comic books created by Kevin Brooks Eastman and Peter Laird.
The Fab Four turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael (named after famous artists from the Renaissance era), gained a huge cult following that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies were released way back in 1990, 1991, and 1993.
Those who grew up in the 90s will definitely remember the four, who are known for their fighting skills honed by their mentor, Master Splinter, and a shared passion for pizza.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 movie spoilers leaked online revealed that the turtles are headed for a mysterious world known as Dimension X. They will caught in the middle of a battle between the Utroms of Krang and the Triceratons, the latter described as "humanoid triceratops."
Well-loved characters from the series - Casey Jones, Bebop, and Rocksteady, will be seen in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
