Prometheus 2 Release Date, News, Updates: Characters rumored to take on God and the Devil in Ridley Scott's sequel to sci-fi hit
Prometheus news, updates: Prometheus star Noomi Rapace hinted on who they're taking on in Prometheus 2.
"God maybe...or The Devil. I don't know where [Ridley Scott] going to take us, but I can't wait to go there. I don't know what we're going to discover," she said in an MTV interview.
Prometheus ended with Rapace's character Elizabeth Shaw, meeting one of the Engineers that created her and the rest of humanity.
It looks like Prometheus 2 is making a transition from being a biological nightmare to a war of conflicting theologies - themes that are right up director Ridley Scott's alley.
Rapace adds, "Elizabeth Shaw wants to go to Paradise...she wants to go to where [the Engineers] came from." It's that journey that's going to be our main focus, and it's that reason why God and The Devil should be expected to carry on the threatening element of any future Prometheus sequel."
Released in 2012, Prometheus was directed by Scott and written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof. It starred Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, and Charlize Theron.
Prometheus was set in the late 21st century, focusing on the Prometheus space ship's crew as they follow a star map discovered among the artifacts of ancient Earth.
As they tried to discover where humanity came from, the space ship and its crew arrived at a world where a threat could lead to the extinction of the human race.
