Sony SmartWatch 3 News, Release Date: Specifications and Price Revealed but Has yet to be Given a Release Date
Marie Brewis from PC Advisor reported that the Sony SmartWatch 3 will be sporting 1.6 inch display which is a transflective TFT LCD screen capable of a 320 x 320 resolution. The Sony SmartWatch is 36 x 10 x 51 mm and weighs at 38 grams. It runs with a 1.2 GHz ARM A7 quad-core processor and possesses a RAM of 512 MB and 4 GB worth of storage.
It is also an IP68-certified dust and waterproof gadget and consists of a stainless steel rear panel and a silicon rubber strap. Color wise, consumers are given a choice between the classic black and the sport lime. The strap may also be interchangeable with either a pink or white alternate color option.
The Sony SmartWatch 3 specs don't end there just yet as the gadget can also support Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and NFC. It also possesses an accelerometer, compass and gyro for outdoor ethusiasts. One can charge it through its MircoUSB charging port. In terms of battery life, it can last up to four days when on standby according to Sony thanks to its 420 mAh lthium-polymer battery and can charge for less than an hour.
Sony SmartWatch 3 is compatible to Android smartphones that run on the Android 4.3 JellyBean operating system or higher.
Price wise, it may differ depending on where you live. For example, in the European market, the Sony SmartWatch 3 is reported to be priced at around 229 euros and around 180 pounds in the UK market. TechnoBuffalo reports that the Sony SmartWatch 3 is priced at $249.99, roughly $250, dollars on Google Play.
