'Attack On Titan Season 2' Premiere Date Rumors Hoax; Wit Studios Remains Mum About The Manga Series
Bad news for the Japanese manga series fans. Rumors on "Attack on Titan Season 2" April 2015 premiere date appears to be all hoax, iDigital Times reported. In fact, the anticipated anime is reportedly not even in the beginning status of its production yet.
The news that would break hearts of "Attack on Titan" fans is reportedly caused by the manga version of the franchise. The manga, written by Hajime Isayama, "was not far enough ahead of the show to allow production of Season 2." Internet has been abuzz with news that predicts the anime's series second installment will be launched April next year.
But reports suggest the rumored date will not be possible even if the production started last August. Plus the fact that the start of the "Attack of Titan Season 2" filming was not confirmed or even reported yet. "We know they're prepping for it while they work on the OVAs, but anything beyond that is really just speculation."
Amid the rumors and fans clamor for more details for the anticipated new season of the manga series, Breathecast reported that Wit Studios remains mum about the issue. Their silence just brings more predictions that "Attack on Titan Season 2" is really not underway yet.
The series' producer, meanwhile, is reportedly working on the Volume 15 of "Shingeki no Kyoujin." The manga, also written by Isayama, will be released later this year. It can also be noted that "Attack of Titan" is highly based on the "Shingeki no Kyoujin" manga. Japanese studios only confirmed the release of the two new prequel episode of "Attack of Titan" anime that will be shown before the year ends.
It can be recalled that the well-loved fantasy series conquered the small screen after its 2013 launch. The Japanese apocalyptic anime, known for its mayhem and violent content, had video game spin-off that showed how big hit it was, not only for the Japanese but also for the anime fans around the world.
Christian Post also reported a new development about "Attack on Titan" franchise. As posted in the manga's original site, the "Attack on Titan: Goren no Yumiya" will be having a 4DX screening at Cinema Sunshine Heiwajima in Tokyo and Fukuyama Corona Cinema World in Hiroshima on Nov. 22. The upcoming movie includes the first 13 episodes of the anime.
