iPod Touch 6G News and Rumors: Will Apple Release the New Generation iPod Touch Early 2015? Plus: More iPod Touch 6G Specs and Improvements
Much of the iPod Touch 6g rumors lately have touched upon the possibility of its release date being on October 16 at Apple's Keynote event. When the much awaited device was not included in the list of products that Apple announced, fans and those anticipating the new iPod were disappointed. Tech experts especially were anticipating an announcement regarding the upcoming iPod Touch 6th Generation; although we didn't see any of it, fans have not yet given up.
While we may be sure that the iPod Touch 6th Gen is indeed going to happen, recent iPod Touch 6G news, however, concluded that there is a high probability the device will be released within the first few months of 2015.
There is also much talk about the iPod Touch 6G specs and improvements such as larger screen size-now 5 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 megapixels, with 440 pixels per inch-and enhanced hardware and camera. Sources also confirm that the new generation iPod Touch will be offered in a variety of colors ranging from light and dark gray, blue, green, pink, red and orange. It will be powered by the powerful and newly enhanced A6 dual core processor at 1 GHz made available in 32 GB and 64 GB storage capacity, which can still be extended up to 128 GB.
Other noteworthy improvements in the iPod Touch 6G specs are the additional features of the 8-megapixel iSight camera at the back of the device such as backside illumination, enhanced auto-focus, face detection, LED flash and hybrid IR filter.
As for the price, the iPod Touch 6G is rumored to cost the same as the iPod Touch 5G, which costs $299 for the 32 GB and $399 for the 64 GB version.
