'SON of GOD' Big Box Office Numbers in Opening Weekend Grossing over 26 Million

 

The highly anticipated SON OF GOD movie premiered over the weekend and the crowds proved that it was worth the wait. The film had a great opening night grossing over $9.5 million at the box office on Friday, just behind the #1 movie, Non-Stop ($10 million). Son of God numbers for the first weekend are $26.5 at the box office this weekend.

Producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey have poured their hearts into this film and "The Bible" series that aired on The History Channel last year hoping to make the highest quality film of Jesus live to date. It seems as their hard work has paid off as response to the film has been highly positive. The acting and production for the movie and tv series was incredibly top notch and captivating.
