Randy Travis Makes a Second Appearance at Billy Bob's

Country music superstar Randy Travis has made his second public appearance within a matter of a couple of weeks. The "I Told You So" singer made a public appearance at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, Texas.
Travis was a VIP spectator at a December 7th Sunday night concert at the venue, hosted by Dallas radio station 99.5 the Wolf. Not long ago, Travis was also at Billy Bob's for a concert by Joe Nichols. This is one of only a few times the country legend has been seen in public since his July 2013 stroke.
In July of 2013, Travis suffered a stroke due to complications from congestive heart failure. These two appearances in relatively quick succession are a sign of good things for Travis' recovery. Although Travis is still unable to sing or speak, his fiancee, Mary Davis, recently revealed that he can still play guitar and is learning to write again.
"He wakes up with a smile on his face; he goes to bed with a smile on his face. He inspires me daily," she notes. "There's never that, 'Why me Lord?' It's always, 'Why not me, Lord?'"
Since 1985, Randy Travis has recorded 20 studio albums and charted more than 50 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and 16 of these were number one hits. Considered a pivotal figure in the history of country music, Travis broke through in the mid-1980s with the release of his album "Storms of Life," which sold more than four million copies. The album established him as a major force in the Neotraditional country movement.
Travis followed up his successful debut with a string of platinum and multi-platinum albums. Travis is well known for his distinctive baritone vocals, delivered in a traditional style that has made him a country music star since the 1980s.
