'Big Brother' CBS Season 16 Announced for Summer 2014 Television Line-Up
CBS has announced that Season 16 of "Big Brother" will be on the Summer 2014 line-up. The reality show will premiere on Wednesday, June 25th at 8pm. Unless CBS is aiming to wrap up the reality competition earlier than usual, fans should expect another long season. CBS hasn't offered many clues about everyone can look forward to for Season 16, but expect it to hold a lot of surprises.
"Big Brother" will again be hosted by Julie Chen and debut early for the second straight summer, beginning Wednesday, June 25 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) with the first of its three weekly broadcasts. The Thursday edition, featuring the live eviction show, premieres June 26 (9:00-10:00 PM) with the first eviction the following week (July 3). The Sunday broadcast premieres June 29 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).
"Big Brother" premiered on CBS in the Summer of 2000 (July 5) with ten original house guests in the house. Each year, CBS has made available live streaming internet feeds from the Big Brother house. The live feed was first made available for free through America Online, the shows Internet partner in 2000. From 2001 to 2012, live feeds were offered through RealNetworks as a subscription service. Starting in 2013, the subscription-based live feeds are available directly through CBS.com. Some parts of the show are edited out of the webcast to preserve drama including the weekly competitions and the eviction process.
Will you be watching "Big Brother" Season 16 when it premieres on CBS this summer?
