Watch Darius Rucker Sing "Amazing Grace" in Tribute to the Families of the Recent Charleston Shootings

Country Christian singer Darius Rucker not only named his latest album after Charleston, Soouth Carolina, but the city is also his home. Following the brutal shootings at a local church last week, Rucker has taken time out of his Southern Style tour stop in Cedar Park, Texas, on Friday night (June 19) to sing "Amazing Grace" in memory of all the victims.
Taking center stage by himself, with just a single spotlight, Rucker belted out the hymn that so many of us hold near to our hearts. This wasn't the only time Rucker let his voice be heard on the tragedy. He spoke out about the hardship during an appearance on The Talk.
"I want to say to all the people at the Mother Emanuel, my love is there," he said (quote via Broadway World). "But to the people of Charleston - people ask me all the time what my favorite part of Charleston is, and I always say the people, and they proved it through this. I'm so proud of my community, my town, the way we got together."
