Kelsea Ballerini Sings "Amazing Grace" to Comfort the Vctims of the Chattanooga Shootings

Twenty one year-old country music singer Kelsea Ballerini on the morning of July 17th performed a heartwarming version of John Newton's "Amazing Grace." She sang the hymn to comfort those in Chattanooga affected by the shootings at a naval reserve center and a military recruiting center.
During her appearance on Fox & Friends, the Knoxville, Tenn., native, showed her support for the city of Chattanooga and the loved ones of the four Marines who were killed and the several people who were injured - including a police officer, a Marine Corps recruiter and a sailor - during Thursday's (July 16) tragedy with her stirring performance.
"I think it's important to show our support and show our love so they can feel it," she said on the show.
Ballerini's vocal aptitude was on full display, but more than that, the heart behind her performance was deeply empathetic, hopeful and moving. As she sang, viewers sang along, smiled and closed their eyes, obviously affected by the moving lyrics.
Ballerini has recently released her debut record for Black River Entertainment entitled "The First Time." The new album features the country hit "Love Me Like You Mean It" and the recently released "Dibs."
