Hillsong's Movie Producers Explain Why Their Movie "Let Hope Rise" is Delayed
Producers of the highly-anticipated Hillsong movie have released an official statement regarding why the documentary Hillsong movie Let Hope Rise is delayed:
"Last year we approached Hillsong about the possibility of producing a feature film to tell their extraordinary story. After much hard work, we now have an absolutely terrific film that captures the heart and soul of Hillsong and its music. What's more, it is a first-ever theatrical worship experience, where people will raise their voices and hands in theaters all over the world. On several occasions, we've screenedHillsong - Let Hope Rise for audiences and they LOVE it!
The journey from a big idea for a movie to the big screen is often a complicated trek. The first job is to make a great film. But the second step is a distributor to put it in theaters across the globe. In August, our distributor ran into some major financial issues, which unfortunately has temporarily derailed their ability to theatrically release of the film on September 30. The good news is that we have several different studios interested in the film, and we are working our way toward a new distributor. Thankfully, the story and message of this film are timeless and we believe this movie is definitely worth the wait! We'll be sure to keep you posted as soon as we have more details."
