Unspoken New Self-Titled Album Releasing April 1st, Watch 'Start a Fire' Acoustic Performance Here (VIDEO)
Unspoken is set to release their first full album release on April 1st from Centricity Music. In conjunction with the self-titled project, the group is scheduled to embark on a week-long radio promo tour next week. They will perform live acoustic sets and do interviews at such outlets as KLOVE, WKAW/Cincinnati, OH, WJIE/Louisville, KY, WBGL/New Life Network, WCSG/Grand Rapids, MI, and The Fish/Cleveland, OH. Unspoken will also tape appearances with LeSea Broadcasting's Harvest Show and Live From Studio B. Watch a live acoustic performance of their song "Start a Fire" above.
"'Start A Fire," Unspoken's follow up to the top 5 singles, "Who You Are" and "Lift My Life Up," will be going for adds on April 11th. A video for the song was shot at different locations around the country, while the band was on the KLOVE Listener Appreciation Tour earlier this month. The group would get up early in the morning, hop in a van and stop at any location that looked promising to Unspoken and the video director, Max Hsu. Video locations include stops at Baton Rouge, LA, San Antonio, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, Denver, CO and Kansas City, KS. The video will be released mid-April.
"This video was such a leap of faith for all of us," says Steve Ford, Vice President of Marketing, Centricity Music. "Normally, you have a shot list and have scouted locations, but on this shoot it was hours of looking at Google Maps in a van on the way to the next city and hoping it all worked out. The video team was always a step ahead and found amazing locations. Unspoken kept up the energy through long days, hunger, cold, and 40 mile-an-hour winds. The video is everything we wanted it to be."
Unspoken was also recently honored with an invitation to be the inaugural performer for the Dove Awards Presents: Unspoken A New Music Showcase last week. The event took place at Lipscomb University's Shamblin Theatre in Nashville, TN where Unspoken performed its hits, along with selections from the new album. The evening was a partnership between Lipscomb University, Gospel Music Association and HearItFirst.com, with Gabe Patillo serving as host for the evening. The concert aired online via livestream at HearItFirst.com, with the archived show at www.hearitfirst.com/live.
Unspoken was a successful breakout, indie band when they signed with Centricity music in 2011, and they released their first EP, Get To Me, in June 2012. The lead single, "Who You Are," became a Top 5 hit at radio and made Unspoken's national debut at Momentum in Orlando, FL one of the highlight performances of the event. The following year, Unspoken released their second EP, The World Is Waking that led to another Top 5 single with "Lift My Life Up." Now the band is poised to release their full-length, self-titled album that releases April 1, 2014.
