With Christmas coming up, worship leader and songwriter Chris Tomlin is also busy preparing for the season. Besides being extremely busy engaged in his "ADORE" tour, Tomlin has also shared with us some of the favorite things he cherish about the season. Here is his list of favorite songs, gift, albums, movie, and story, he loves about Christmas.
Favorite Songs on the Album // "Adore," "Noel," "A Christmas Alleluia" and "He Shall Reign Forevermore"
Favorite Christmas Gift // Honda ATV three-wheeler
Favorite Christmas Albums // Andrew Peterson's Behold the Lamb of God and Josh Groban's Noël
Favorite Christmas Songs // "O, Holy Night" and "O, Come All Ye Faithful"
Favorite Christmas Story // Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol
Favorite Christmas Movie // It's A Wonderful Life
Recently,Tomlin has been named Billboard's top male Christian artist for 2015. Tomlin's Love Ran Red album -- which was released in 2014 and opened at No. 1 on Top Christian Albums -- closes 2015 as the No. 3 top Christian album.
"What an honor to be part of carrying this song," Tomlin says. "God is a good Father and I think people need to hear that. It's a beautiful thing to lead the song on tour each night, seeing people experience the heart and power of those words."
Moreover, Chris Tomlin has also released his new Christmas album Adore:Christmas Songs of Worship. The album features All Songs and Daughters and Lauren Daigle and it currently sits at #1 on the Billboard Christian Chart. "Christmas is the season that makes the whole world sing," Tomlin said. "I did my best to capture the sound and spirit of that singing on this record. It is an invitation to 'come and see what God has done.'"
Here's review of "Adore:" "Chris Tomlin's Adore: Christmas Songs of Worship is the go to album as far as congregational worship over the festive season is concerned. Though the market is saturated with seasonal outputs every year and though it's almost mandatory for every artist to release a Christmas album somewhere along his/her career, few are the Christmas songs made for congregational worship. Tomlin whose pen has supplied the vocabulary and scores of countless worship services with staples such as "Love Ran Red," "Our God, "How Great is Our God," he is back with his festive debut Adore: Christmas Songs of Worship. The titular is most revealing, this is an 11-track record made for the service of the church. This is arguably the CD's chief strength."
