Noel Robinson Makes History with "Outrageous Love"

Worship leader Noel Robinson loves making history all the time. He is the first African to be signed to Integrity Music. Now, Robinson is making history again. His brand new live Integrity Music worship album Outrageous Love hit the number 1 spot on the iTunes UK Christian music charts on its first day of release. It was the first time ever that a UK gospel artist has pulled off such a feat.
"I was quite surprised," he told The Voice. "I wasn't expecting a number one but I knew it could be in the top ten somewhere. Outrageous Love getting to number one was beyond my expectations."
Outrageous Love, the 14 track album, was recorded live at House on the Rock, Tufnell Park in north London, earlier this year. It features songs Noel co-wrote with various people including Donna Akudo, Ian Green, Nathan Curtis and Matt Redman, as well as a track written by Grammy award winning artist Israel Houghton.
The worship leaders hit single 'Rain' has racked up over 150,000 views on YouTube and is sung all over the world including T.D Jakes' Potters House Church.
Johnathan Brown who is the managing director of Integrity who are the biggest Christian label in Europe said; "Our heart at Integrity Music is to curate the hymnal for the local church and to partner and serve Noel's vision and calling on his life through the song's he pens, and the cross cultural sound-track he carries, which is an absolute privilege."
For Noel Robinson, he believes his deal came at the right time. "It's been a long journey and there's a thought it should have happened a long time ago, but I just sense that this is a season where God is using me to bring something around the world. You kind of follow that and flow with that."
Robinson's music recording career began in 1996, with the studio album, O Taste and See, released by Jubal Records. His second album, Worthy in This Place, was released in 2001, alongside Nu Image, with Kingsway Records. He release another album with Nu Image, Garment of Praise, in 2006, rom One Voice Records. The subsequent studio album, Devoted, was released by Nu Image Music, on 2 July 2013. He has released his live album, Outrageous Love, with Integrity Music, on 11 September 2015 in the UK. A January 2016 release date is scheduled for the US.
