Infamous Stringdusters & Lee Ann Womack Set to Bring Hope to Our Broken World with "I Believe"

Acoustic/bluegrass band the Infamous Stringdusters are set to bring hope and positivism to our fragmented world with their new inspirational single "I Believe." They have also invited country music's songbird Lee Ann Womack ("I Hope You Dance") to add her beautiful vocals to the song. The song is taken from the bluegrass band's newest release Ladies & Gentlemen, which contains all original songs. It is a tribute of sorts: to the art and power of the female vocals with guest appearances from Joss Stone, Joan Osborne, Sara Watkins, and Womack.
"I Believe," which was penned by the group's Jeremy Garrett and Mountain Heart's Josh Shilling as a statement about the negative focus of the modern news media. "I like to watch the morning news and keep up on politics, and think the subject matter is a fitting theme for what's going on right now. The song is about everybody educating each other, getting to know each other," Garrett tells Rolling Stone Country. "All around the world, people are pretty much the same. It's about peace and harmony, and making music is about the best way I know how to spread that positivity.
"I toured with Lee Ann Womack about 10 years ago, and, honestly, I had her voice in mind when I wrote it," Garrett continues. "She has the high-caliber musicianship, flexibility and tone to just nail it. And she did."
Ladies & Gentlemen is set for release on Feb. 5 and is available for pre-order on CD and vinyl via the band's Pledge Music site; digital pre-orders are also available via iTunes. Pre-ordered hard copies of the album will include the full project on MP3 upon release.
