Jordan Smith is Performing at the People's Choice Awards 2016 with David Foster
Lots of things are going right for Jordan Smith these days. Smith not only was the winner of season 9's "The Voice," but he also has had two back to back #1 Billboard Christian hits. Now, he has revealed that he will be performing at People's Choice Awards 2016.
This week, Smith will take the stage at the People's Choice Awards with uber producer David Foster on the piano. Foster is the producer for Mariah Carey, Chicago, Madonna, and he was the responsible in producing Whitney Houston 4 times platinum #1 smash "I Will Always Love You."
"Just confirmed Jordan Smith performing, accompanied by David Foster on piano," said PCA producer Mark Burnett, in a statement to PEOPLE."They're in the studio now working on his album together."
According to Burnett, Smith and Foster are "literally going to come in from the recording studio on the stage before they get back to work."
The People's Choice Awards will air live Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS, from Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater with host Jane Lynch. Among those confirmed to present are Vin Diesel, Britney Spears, Christina Milian, Clark Gregg, Connor Franta, Dakota Johnson, Gina Rodriguez, Jack Black, John Stamos, Kate Hudson, Lea Michele, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Benoist, Natalie Dormer, Priyanka Chopra, Raza Jaffrey, the Pink Ladies of Grease: Live (Carly Rae Jepsen, Julianne Hough, Keke Palmer, Kether Donohue, and Vanessa Hudgens), and more.
Moreeover, since New Year's Eve, Smith is already engaged to his girlfriend Kristen Denny. Jordan proposed to his girlfriend of three years Kristen just on New Year's Eve, so that they could ring in 2016 as an engaged couple.
"RINGING in the new year with my future wife!" the singer shared on Twitter as his girlfriend Kristen Denny flashed her new engagement ring at Boston Public Garden. "She said YES! #Mr&MrsSmith."
The bride-to-be added on Facebook, "2016...You're definitely my favorite #Engaged #Mr&MrsSmith."
He told PEOPLE this week: "It's so full circle. She's so happy for me and she knows this is exactly what I've dreamed about."
After his name was called, "she came on stage and hugged me and just told me, 'This is it,'" said Smith. "That was such a special moment."
