Tedashii Releases New EP "This Time Around"
Tedashii, returns with the release of his newest project, This Time Around. Earlier this week, Tedashii prompted fans to call a telephone number (404-590-4984) for an exclusive announcement. Fans were greeted with a personal message from Tedashii revealing details for the release of his new project, This Time Around, on March 4.
On the recording he shared, "The whole idea behind This Time Around is progression and being me. A lot of stuff has been happening in life, and part of this entire new season exemplifies just who I've become after everything I've gone through. My wife and I, we lost our one-year-old son Chase, and I've seen myself progress through it, and even still dealing with it, becoming something new, so this music exemplifies that and shows that in every way."
It's that kind of optimism that is born from overcoming incredible tragedy. This Time Around follows the release of Below Paradise, the rapper's fourth LP and a very personal account of the sometimes-harsh realities of this world, both the joy and the sorrow. Below Paradise debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 and No.2 on the Top Gospel Albums and Rap Albums charts, respectively.
This Time Around is a creative stretch for Tedashii sonically, lyrically and thematically. On the EP, Tedashii collaborated with several music producers including one of the most prolific in the game right now, Gawvi, who has worked with everyone from Pharrell and Rodney Jerkins to Trip Lee and Lecrae. To date, Tedashii has released three songs from This Time Around including "Be Me," "Jumped Out The Whip," and his newest single "808."
Currently Tedashii is on the Winter Jam 2016 Tour with label mates KB and Trip Lee. See below for a listing of tour dates or visitJamTour.com. For more information on Tedashii, be sure to visit Tedashii.com and follow him @Tedashii on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.
