Hillsong & TBN Announce Launch Of 'The Hillsong Channel' June 15

Global Christian broadcast leader TBN has announced that it is partnering with Hillsong Church, the world's leading creator of inspirational, life-changing praise and worship music, in the June 15th launch of an innovative addition to faith-and-family television, the Hillsong Channel. The 24-hour network - with a planned distribution footprint including broadcast, cable, and nearly a dozen satellites around the world - will combine the best in cutting-edge worship from the most gifted singers, songwriters, and musicians, with dynamic ministry from internationally acclaimed pastors and teachers.
TBN Chairman Matthew Crouch noted that each week tens of millions of individuals in churches around the world praise God to the impacting music of Hillsong Worship. "We are excited and honored to welcome the Hillsong Channel as the newest member of the Trinity Broadcasting Family of Networks," he said. "This powerful new praise and worship network will offer an amazing opportunity for us to reach a whole new generation of viewers with the message of hope and grace as we partner with the most iconic and far-reaching presence in contemporary Christian music."
Viewers of the Hillsong Channel will have 24-7 front-row access to all the best from Hillsong's popular international conferences, along with dynamic worship from gifted groups, singers, and songwriters such as Hillsong United, Young and Free, Reuben Morgan, Joel Houston, and many others. There will also be plenty of life-changing teaching from internationally acclaimed Christian leaders like Hillsong Senior Pastor Brian Houston, and wife Bobbi Houston, whose "Sisterhood" outreach is inspiring and equipping a generation of women to walk in their God-ordained destiny.
Over the past several years Hillsong Church has expanded dramatically from its flagship location in Sydney, Australia to an increasing number of vibrant congregations in such key cities as London, Paris, Stockholm, Cape Town, Buenos Aries, New York, Phoenix, and Los Angeles - making Hillsong's worship and ministry truly international in flavor and perspective.
Pastor Brian Houston said that with the launch of the Hillsong Channel, millions of viewers around the world will have access to the life-transforming worship and ministry that are the recognized hallmark of Hillsong Church. "This new aspect of the Hillsong global vision is unlike anything we have launched up to this point," he said. "It'll be a continuous, 24-7 feed that will be exalting Jesus and empowering people for every part of life."
Matthew Crouch said that additional information will become available in the weeks ahead of the network's planned June 15th official launch. "We're encouraging everyone to stay tuned as we prepare to introduce what we believe is one of the most exciting positive broadcast additions to come along in recent history," he said. "We think it's going to help broaden the scope and outreach of faith-and-family television worldwide."
