Chris Tomlin Honored With Five Dove Award Nominations
Chris Tomlin is among the top nominees for the47th Annual GMA Dove Awards, earning a total of five nominations, including Songwriter of the Year (Artist).
Tomlin was also nominated for Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for his single "Good Good Father," which hit the No. 1 spot on multiple charts. His 2015 Christmas albumADORE: Christmas Songs Of Worship, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Holiday Albums Chart, earned a nomination for Christmas Album of the Year. Tomlin has also been recognized for his writing credits on Christy Nockels' "Let It Be Jesus," up for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year and Passion's "Even So Come," up for Worship Song of the Year.
Tomlin has been honored with more than 20 Dove Award wins. The 47th Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena in Nashville at 6:30 p.m. CST. Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) will exclusively air the awards show on Sunday, October 16.
Tomlin's nominations come on the heels of this summer's Worship Night In America events, hitting venues across the US, culminating in a sold out evening at NYC's Madison Square Garden.
