The Joylanders Are Now Known as Endless Highway

The Joylanders, an exciting artist on the Gospel Music scene announced this week that they have officially changed their name to Endless Highway. An energetic family group based in Trenton TN, they are looking towards the future in ways that will spread their ministry wider than ever before in hopes of reaching a broader audience.
Formed in 1971 as The Joylanders by Nell and Perry Wimberly along with their children, the ministry has spanned nearly 50 years. Still based around the formula of tight family harmonies, Endless Highway is building for the future.
Founding members Perry and Nell Wimberly share, "Names, heritage, & lineage are all very important as evidenced throughout the Bible. Nell and I began The Joylanders in 1971 and have ministered for 46 years under that name. God and His Word are unchanging, but the times and culture do change and progress. With that change, we realize that in order to reach a broader audience, the thrust and focus of our ministry needs to shift to the younger generations in our group. Our group name needs to change to reflect the zeal of our younger group members. As we pass the mantle on to Allison, Jay, Vanessa, and Jason, they will carry on our heritage as "Endless Highway." Nell and I will continue to travel and sing with the group as long as our health allows, but the focus will shift to our 2nd and 3rd generation.
Undertaking an extensive rebranding effort, Jason, his wife Vanessa and their children Allisonand Jay are excited about this next chapter in their ministry. Jason and Vanessa continue, "After much prayer and consideration, we are excited and believe the Lord has given us the perfect name for this season in our ministry. Endless Highway will be our new name. We believe this name connects our generations of ministry that will be endless until the return of the Lord as we go into the highways and hedges and compel the lost to come to Him. The basis for the name is found in Isaiah 35:8-10 "And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way.... Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away."
Skyland Records, a Crossroads Entertainment & Marketing imprint is supporting this exciting change. "This name change better reflects the current and future direction of this wonderful family," Greg Bentley of Crossroads added. "Bringing as Perry stated, the next generation to the focus to carry on the heritage for many years to come".
