Kingdom Heirs Host CD Release Party at National Quartet Convention
Kingdom Heirs celebrated the release of the group's latest project with an invitation-only release party. Held Monday at the National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the event showcased the critically acclaimed project titled The Last Big Thing with over 60 media and industry representatives in attendance.
Chris White, founder of Sonlite Records, said of the Kingdom Heirs, "Solid solid solid. The Kingdom Heirs are just solid across-the stage. They have never sounded better than they do on this new release The Last Big Thing!"
The Kingdom Heirs performed selections from The Last Big Thing to an enthusiastic crowd. They started off together with a song that showcased breathtaking four-part harmony entitled "Just Another Mile" written by Dianne Wilkinson. Deciding to record the song at the last minute, this became Wilkinson's 1000th written song.
The Kingdom Heirs' Dennis Murphy penned "I Wanna Do More" which featured bass vocalist Jeff Chapman in a bluesy style. Also popular at the party, "Live It Up" written by Jerry Salley and Aaron Wilburn featuring industry veteran and award-winning baritone vocalist Loren Harris.
Arthur Rice stated, "What a great time we had with our friends from the media and radio. Our Sonlite Records family put together a great event for us to share some of the new album The Last Big Thing. We feel this is one of the best albums we've ever released and can't wait for everyone to hear it."
An emotional song for the group, "Heaven Just Got Sweeter For You" was performed by Jeff Chapman, accompanied pianist Andy Stringfield, and written by Jerry Salley & Dianne Wilkinson. This touching song moved those in attendance with its sweet moments cherishing those cancer victims who've entered the gates of Heaven with their passing. Other memorable moments included the introduction of Jim Brady and Rodney Griffin's co-written song "Heaven Was Counting To Three," and Arthur Rice's gripping performance of the group's current single and title cut "The Last Big Thing."
The Last Big Thing was co-produced by industry veteran Jeff Collins along with Arthur Rice and released on Crossroads Music Group's Sonlite Records label, the only label home the Kingdom Heirs have ever been associated with. The release is available nationwide this week.
