Christian pop/rock and "American Idol" alum, Colton Dixon, released his latest single "More of You" to Christian radio. You can listen to the new track above.
"More of You" will be available everywhere on all digital music platforms on June 24th. Dixon's new album will be released on August 19th. This is is second full studio album.
Colton Dixon, 23, is from Murfreesboro,TN and tried out for Season 10 of "American Idol" with his sister, Schyler, at the Nashville auditions but neither reached the Top 24. The next year, Colton came back to the "American Idol" auditions initially only to support his sister. However, he was coaxed by the judges to audition himself, singing David Cook's song, "Permanent." Dixon and his sister were awarded golden tickets to advance, but Schyler's hopes were cut short again as she was cut in the Las Vegas round for the 2nd year in a row.
Season 11 Colton went on to make the Top 10 and eventually to the Final 7. His elimination was a big surprise to everyone because he had never been in the bottom 3 at any point. However, he had already made his mark with the fans. His signature hair and voice had captured America's heart. Opportunities were lining up for the new Christian artist after he finished the American Idol tour and his career keeps reaching new heights.
Colton's debut album, A Messenger, released in January 2013 and went to No. 1 on the Itunes Christian & Gospel charts and No. 15 on the overall charts. His single, "Never Gone" hit No. 1 on the U.S. Christian albums chart.
