Popular Christian artist, Jamie Grace has hit a milestone with her single "Hold Me." The song featuring TobyMac was officially certified Gold, selling 500,000 singles.
Grace became one of only four female Christian artists to get a Gold single, and she will also become the first Christian artist to appear on a 7UP can through a fan voted process at the K-LOVE Fan Awards. Grace was also nominated for "Female Artist of the Year" at the K-LOVE Awards, but ultimately lost to Mandisa.
Popular artist Jamie Grace kicked off her first headlining tour earlier this Spring and it ran through April hitting many states on the East side of the U.S. The "Do Life Big" tour also featured the debut of her backing band "The Boys". The Grammy nominated singer introduced the guys in the fall and this was their first time all on the road together. The tour hit stops in New York, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, and Alabama.
Grace released her sophomore album Ready to Fly on January 28, 2014 including the hit single, "Beautiful Day".
The 'Do Life Big' Grace also recently appeared on a "Power of She" segment for HLN's Morning Express with Robin Meade to discuss Tourette Syndrome Awareness Month, and her battle with the illness. You can watch the video of Grace discussing her Tourette's Syndrome here.
TobyMac has been a mentor to Jamie Grace coming up in the music business. He has helped with her records, been featured on many songs and Toby brings her out as an opener on most tours that he does now. Not a bad guy to have in your corner if you are in the Christian music industry.
