Shania Twain Joins Cast of Jeremy Camp Biopic ‘I Still Believe’

Country music veteran Shania Twain will star in Lionsgate's Christian movie I Still Believe, the follow-up to I Can Only Imagine, the 2018 indie hit film. "I Still Believe" is a biopic about the life of CCM artist Jeremy Camp. Camp is a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter who has sold over 5 million albums and has toured 36 countries.
Twain will play Terry Camp, the mother of Jeremy Camp, a true-life Christian music mega-star on a journey of love and loss set to be played by K.J. Apa. Gary Sinise was earlier cast as his father, Tom Camp. Along with the five-time Grammy winner, Britt Robertson ("Girlboss"), Melissa Roxburgh ("Manifest") and Nathan Dean Parsons ("Roswell, New Mexico") are joining the cast.
"I Still Believe" is meant to be an uplifting true-life story of Christian music star Jeremy Camp and his journey of love and loss that looks to prove there is always hope.
The film, to be directed by brothers Jon and Andrew Erwin, previously cast "Riverdale" actor KJ Apa to play Camp and Gary Sinise to play his father, Tom Camp. Twain will play Camp's mother in the film.
The film is the Erwin brothers' second collaboration with the studio following "I Can Only Imagine," which grossed $83.5 million on a $7 million production budget, according to Box Office Mojo. "I Still Believe" will be the team's first project resulting from their film and TV first-look deal with Lionsgate.
The Erwin Brothers will also direct the film from a script written by Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn.
Downes and The Erwin Brothers are producing the film under their Kingdom Studios banner.
