Singing phenom Bri Babineaux, who boasts over a half million Instagram followers, is headed to New Orleans to record her sophomore gospel album, The Encounter (Tyscot/Integrity). Jamel Kimbrough, a veteran keyboardist and music arranger, is producing the soul-stirring night of live praise and worship music that takes place Friday, May 31, 2019 @7 PM at Living the Word International, 2528 Old Spanish Trail, Slidell, LA 70461.
Bri's special performing guests will include Billboard gospel chart topper Todd Dulaney, as well as cutting-edge praise and worship leaders such as Psalmist Raine, Dante Bowe and Alicia Hardy-Montgomery. The singing pre-law student had a hand in writing all of the new music with an array of collaborators with roots in CCM, Gospel and the Praise & Worship music genres. "These songs have been a major encouragement to me," Bri says. "I know they will bless others as we encounter the presence of God in a new way and transform our lives."
The newly married 24-year-old Lafayette, Louisiana resident is best-known for her signature songs such as "I'll Be The One" (2015) and "Make Me Over" (2017) which both hit No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Digital Song Sales chart. Her debut album, Keys to My Heart (MBE/Tyscot), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums sales chart in the spring of 2016 and helped her win two Stellar Gospel Music Awards, including New Artist of the Year in 2017.
