PEABOD Releases New Track for "Backpack" EP Today

Centricity Music hip hop artist PEABOD released a new single today, "Backpack," adding to his other 2019 releases and completing his EP Backpack. The song and EP are available now on all digital outlets.
Known for his "happy raps," clever wordplay, and catchy production, PEABOD puts an infectious new spin on the hip hop genre. Backpack's five songs showcase the same energy and PEABOD's signature relatable pop culture nods. The 25-year old Seattle native also had a great time collaborating with fellow CCM artists Marty from Social Club Misfits and Chad Mattson from Unspoken, on the tracks "Backpack" and "Left Out," respectively.
"The Backpack EP was such a fun and important step for me," PEABOD says. "When I made [debut album] Healthy Snacks, it was purely for my own enjoyment. I didn't really have a goal in mind, and I hadn't spent any time thinking critically about who I'd like to be as a hip-hop artist. Recording the singles that came together as Backpack was my opportunity to experiment, ask questions, and then define my sound. I had a blast working on these songs, so I hope that comes through to anyone listening."
PEABOD's raps, including fan favorites "Shoot From The Hip" and "Steady" (feat. Hollyn), caught attention last year, cited as "one of those rare projects that transcends the boundaries of what listeners have come to expect"(Jesusfreakhideout). He also earned a spot among Rapzilla's Freshman Class.
Beyond music, PEABOD recently married his college sweetheart. He is preparing for the Roadshow Futures tour with Josh Wilson this fall. Tickets are available now.
