True Detective Season 2: New Info, New Characters, New Twists!

The details around 'True Detective' Season 2 still remains as a mystery even as Hitfix's Alan Sepinwall interviews Nic Pizzolatto. According to him, the upcoming season will have major changes in its format. In short, it would be a total new story, new places, new settings, new characters, and new people to work with behind the scenes.

"We don't have any plans to work with one director again" said Nic, pertaining to the former director Cary Fukunaga who wouldn't be working for the show anymore. Instead, it would be a collaboration of different directors from now on.

The Internet has been buzzing about Jessica Chastain possibly being part of the new cast.  Though the film would all be for changes as rumored new leads are expected to enter, farewell to some of the cast would also be part of the changes. Matthew McConaughey is out of the film!

During the conference on Television Critics Association panel, the actor declared that "It was a 450-page film. It was also finite. It didn't mean we had to come back this year, next year if we were under contract. It was finite. So in that way it was exactly a 450-page film script."

From the statement of Pizzolatto, the series would be more of "hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system."

Though fans are heating up because of the all out changes, the opportunities for something new wouldn't be so bad after all. We may not know if the story may be worth it but it sure is worth the intrigues.
