Lauren Daigle's 'You Say' Breaks Record For Most Weeks at No. 1
Grammy award winner Lauren Daigle breaks record for most weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart. "You Say" spends its 62nd week at #1 this week. The track passes Hillsong United's "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)," which began its 61-frame rule in December 2013.
"I really pondered the journey of the song 'Oceans,' and I remember seeing the impact that song made on so many people. It was just so beautiful to me," Daigle tells Billboard. "I hoped that I could be a part of something that shakes the earth like that song. I didn't know that would ever happen, and I had no idea that 'You Say' would be something that would parallel the life of 'Oceans.'
Daigle will embark on her first ever arena world tour. She will be playing 44 dates between January and July 2020.
Launching Jan. 18 at Palais Theatre in Melbourne, the tour will play arenas in Australia and New Zealand before landing in North America on Feb. 20 with a performance at Pensacola Bay Center in Florida.
"This year has been life changing," said Daigle in a release. "There's no better feeling than to be able to look out from the stage and see how people have connected with the songs on this album. Our shows feel like one big party of togetherness, and I can't wait to create a whole new tour for 2020. It's going to be so much fun!"
American Express Card Members can purchase tickets in the U.S. and Canada before the general public beginning Tuesday at noon local time through Thursday at 10 p.m. local time. A limited number of VIP packages will be available to purchase.
