Bethel Music's Cory Asbury Releases New Book "Reckless Love"
Bethel Music's Cory Asbury has released his new book Reckless Love. The book's title is named after Asbury's #1 worship music hit of the same name. The song "Reckless Love" became the No. 1 single on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart in March 2018 and stayed atop the chart for eighteen weeks. It went on to be named Song of the Year and Worship Song of the Year at the 2018 GMA Dove Awards, and was nominated in 2019 for a Grammy.
In this forty-day journey, "Reckless Love" songwriter Cory Asbury dives deep into the heart of the popular worship song as he shares the stories behind the song and explores the themes that have resonated so powerfully with listeners, including the following:
• How to live as sons and daughters of God
• How to understand and receive unmerited grace
• How to see the Father's kindness even amid trials and pain
Asbury is a worship leader and songwriter who hails from the mountains of North Carolina. He is also an artist with the Bethel Music Collective, a group who exists to gather, inspire and encourage the global church toward deeper intimacy with the Father. His latest album, Reckless Love, was Billboard's #1 Christian Album in 2018 and his hit single by the same name, was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2019.
Cory has also won three GMA Dove Awards, two K-Love Fan Awards, and the ASCAP Christian Song of the Year Award. In addition, he's received three Billboard Music nominations. The song "Reckless Love" was inspired by Cory's journey into the depths of the Father's heart. Through the birth of his first son and the near-loss of his first daughter, Cory's understanding of the love of God has grown real-life roots. In becoming a father, he truly learned how to be a son. Fueled by a passion to lead others into their own authentic encounters with God, Cory's ministry is marked by rich spontaneous moments in His presence.
Cory serves as a worship pastor and artist in residence at Radiant Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He and his wife, Anna have four beautiful children-Gabriel, Lily, River, and Willow-Grace.
