The Seventh Son Spoilers, Release Date and Reveals: Tom's Quest to Vanquish Malkin
Universal pictures declared that the release date for the seventh son should be out by February 26th next year for both the 2D and the 3D theatres. The followers of Joseph Delaney's novel The Spook's Apprentice, will already know the plot but for the rest of the pagans, the seventh son plot is as follows. Apparently, a powerful knight trains a young apprentice to fight a witch who is gathering a diabolical army of creatures in order to wage war on the world of mankind.
The witch who is otherwise known as Mother Malkin was once captured and left in prison to rot, but she escaped and has doomed to human race to war. Master Gregory who plays the jaded and mysterious knight is part of an order that recognizes people who are the seventh son's of the seventh son in their family. He has been trying to train an apprentice to take his place after he is gone but has no luck and finally lands upon Tom Ward just as the witch escapes and wages her war. Tom Ward as usual would come across as the most unlikely of heroes, being a farmer's son but Gregory has until the next full moon to bring him up to speed.
The seventh son casting features some of Hollywood's best including Julianne Moore who plays the witch, Jeff Bridges plays Master Gregory, while Ben Barnes plays the role of Tom Ward. The other members of the cast include Olivia Williams, Alicia Vikander, and Kit Harington. Fantasy/ action fans are going to love this one especially with that Jeff Barnes dry wit.
