Leading The Way to Air Primetime Special ‘Awake America: A Biblical Response to the Current Crisis’

Leading The Way with Dr. Michael Youssef will air a special primetime coronavirus message in some of the nation's largest cities Saturday. Dr. Youssef's sermon "Awake America: A Biblical Response to the Current Crisis" is set to broadcast on FOX affiliate stations in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and Washington, D.C.
Times of uncertainty and difficulty, like those induced by the current coronavirus pandemic, cause many to worry and face difficult questions. Speaking from Joel 2, Youssef invites viewers to consider what he calls the most important question to ask during any crisis: "What is God trying to teach me?"
"In these inexplicable times," says Dr. Youssef, "there's only one place where you can find an answer to your questions - the infallible Word of God."
The special primetime broadcast comes as Leading The Way continues its "Awake America 2020" campaign, which aims to "return America to what matters most" by calling America's Christians to commit to prayer for a new spiritual awakening and revival in America. Planned prior to the outbreak of COVID-19, Awake America 2020 has taken on special significance amidst the national crisis.
"Awake America: A Biblical Response to the Current Crisis" will air on these FOX television stations Saturday, May 23:
New York: WNYW - 7pm ET
Washington, D.C.: WTTG - 7pm ET
Atlanta: WAGA - 7pm ET
