Anthony Brown & group therAPy Hit No. 1 with “This Week”
The dynamic recording act, Anthony Brown & group therAPy, have racked up another No. 1 smash with their soulful track "This Week" which grabs the No. 1 spot on Billboard Magazine's coveted Gospel Airplay chart for the week ending July 18th.
It's the Maryland ensemble's second No. 1 in a year. Their Go-go-flavored "Blessings on Blessings" topped the same chart this past September.
"I am so elated and grateful that this song has resonated in the hearts of listeners around the world," Brown says. "It's so much more than a song. It's a message of hope, a declaration. Your words have power! Thank you to all of the program directors and radio family for helping me share this message and thank you to every person that allowed this song to be the soundtrack to your season."
The feel-good, summer groove hails from the group's fourth album, 2econd Wind: Ready (Key of A /Tyscot / FairTrade), an exhilarating mix of spiritually uplifting, healing, and rejuvenating songs. Anthony Brown & group therAPy are best-known for a string of contemporary gospel radio hits over the last decade such as "Testimony," "I Got That," "Bless the Lord," "Trust in You," and "Worth" which spent 24 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart. "Worth" also earned them a Grammy® Award nomination for Best Gospel Performance/Song in 2015 and it was certified gold by the R.I.A.A. in 2019. They have also earned multiple Billboard Music Award nominations and netted several Stellar Gospel Music Awards.
