Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes's Reality Show "LeAnn and Eddie" Premieres Tonight on VH1 at 10:30 P.M. ET/PT
Many will remember the LeAnn Rimes scandal circa 2008. While on the set of the movie she was acting in, Rimes fell for Eddie Cibrian. Oh, and did we mention they were both married at the time? The couple is more in love than ever and back in the public eye, but this time it's for the debut of their new reality show "LeAnn and Eddie."
The pair have always been an open book as far as the press is concerned, and details of their affair, subsequent breakups of their marriages, and then finally their marriage to each other were highly publicized. Not surprisingly, TV producers were eager to get the two stars under the lens of American viewers, and what other way to do that than reality TV? However, the timing has not been right for the couple until now.
"I think we met the right producers, we were just meeting with producers to see what we could do," LeAnn stated. "We actually wanted to do a full scripted show because we thought our life was one big joke, so we were like, 'Hey, we can make this really funny.' We ended up on the non-scripted side, I think this is really a hybrid show. The thing that you get through the whole show, the thing that people want and need to see, is how we interact, our relationship, and that's the honesty of the show."
The two hold nothing back in regard to their personal lives. Rimes says, "It's been over five years, it's time to laugh about." While their situation was not exactly "laughable" as Rimes says, one must admire the positivity that the two lovebirds exhibit in regard to the ups and downs that life has thrown at them.
The show will not include footage of Eddie's two children from his first marriage, but it will touch on Rimes's and Cibrian's desire to have children of their own.
"LeAnn and Eddie" premieres on VH1 tonight at 10:30 P.M. ET/PT.
