The Sharps Welcome Back Tony Lewis
The Sharps are proud to welcome Tony Lewis to its talented lineup, again. Lewis (bass) joins Andy Sharp (tenor), Ben Sharp (baritone), and Mike Leath (lead) in the group, replacing Mike Smith.
Tony's return to the quartet is nothing short of God's timing. In Feb 2018, Lewis came off the road to spend more time with family and to help take care of his brother, Dr. Ronnie Lewis, who lost his fight with cancer in May 2018 and Tony stayed out of singing for almost 2 years. "Thrilled is an understatement. We are incredibly excited and blessed to welcome Tony back home and to re-join our ministry. He is a dear friend and talented bass singer with a tremendous voice, but an even bigger desire to follow God's plan." states Ben Sharp of The Sharps. We appreciate Mike Smith and all he did for our quartet. We are grateful for the time we spent with Smitty sharing God's word."
Michael Sykes, producer for the group and co-owner of Main Street Music & Entertainment , The Sharp's recording home, added, "This makes me smile. I am happy for the guys. This feels like a win-win to me. I'm excited to get to work with Tony again and excited to get these boys back in the studio."
Fans can expect new music featuring Lewis in the coming months of 2021. However, fans can already hear Tony's voice on two of the group's previous albums - He's the Rock (2016) & Instrument of Peace (2018). Both albums can be found on all streaming platforms.
The Sharps handle their bookings In-House and are still adding dates to their touring schedule. For more information about The Sharps, visit www.thesharpsquartet.com
