Philip Winchester and 4 guest stars from Strike Back join fox show: 24 Live another day
Philip Winchester who is known as sergeant Michael Stonebridge, in Strike back plays a former SAS soldier assigned to a special tactics unit which tackles terrorism threats. For the last couple of episodes, the star has also been playing the military advisor for President James Heller in fox's 24: Live another day. It has been quite stimulating to see him in his element especially for fans that saw him in the last four seasons of strike back. This is because he makes the political side of the story in the hit show all the much interesting with his dialogue about threat levels and nuclear superiority.
The other thing is that when we see actors Keifer Sutherland and Winchester within one context, we imagine of a crossover between Strike Back and 24, which will definitely be a site to see. The combination of Sullivan Stapleton, Keifer Sutherland and Winchester Philip, will be one of the exceptional teams that would be unbeatable but quite predicable because nothing can threaten that success. Alas, we all know that is not happening because the final season is yet to be released and filming is on a hiatus due to a serious injury incurred by star Stapleton during a film shoot taking place in Thailand. As such, the production for the show has thus delayed for six months pending his recovery.
However, the interesting thing is that Winchester is not the only person from strike back that has debut for the latest installment of 24. In fact, he is the fourth. Colin Salmon, Liam Garrigan and Rhashan Stone have roles in the series and there are several scenes which involve Salmon and Winchester in the same room. It is like they poached the strike back cast for their crisp military vibe evident in strike back.
