Apple's 12-Inch Retina MacBook : You Might Have To Wait A Bit Longer As The Production Of The 12 Inch Retina Macbook Is Pushed To 2015

It looks like the most anticipated Apple's 12 inch Retina Mac book has been pushed back to 2015 and you will have to wait for it a little bit longer. According to Taiwan's "Economy Daily" there has been a shortage in supply chain of Intel's new Broadwell chip hence that is why it has pushed the release of the new Apple 12 inch Retina MacBook.

The MacBook was supposed to arrive in Q3 this year but delays could see it postponed till late this year or early next year 2015. The 12 inch MacBook is said to include a Retina display that has been described as the successor of the MacBook Air. The mass production was rumored to begin in the third quarter with the launch being rumored to originally point towards fall of 2014.

KGI Securities analyst Ming Chin Kuo described the device as a MacBook with the portability of the 11 inch MacBook Air but productivity of the larger 13 inch model with a high resolution display.

Now with the delay of the Intel's Broadwell it does seem that it will be launched later than it was expected. The first chip designed for Apple products are not expected to begin shipping until early 2015 and the chips that were designed for the Retina MacBook Pro and the iMac may not be shipped until mid-next year. This means that Apple will be unable to launch significant production update until the chips are ready for use.

A separate report from "Economic Daily news" on the other hand says that there might be new 11 and 13 inch MacBook Air models that are set to enter production next month and are expected to come with new processors, screen, chassis and other features.
