"Gospel Goes Hollywood" Virtual Town Hall Gets Rebroadcasted This Friday!

SiriusXM Presents: Gospel Goes Hollywood will get rebroadcasted on SiriusXM's Urban View Channel 126 this Friday, October 22, at 8:15 am ET. SiriusXM Urban View Channel 126 is available to listeners nationwide in their car and on their phone and connected devices at home with the SXM App. The town hall will also be made available on-demand via this link.
Hosted by Joe Madison, the broadcast features interviews with special guests who discuss the impact of Gospel music and Hollywood's investment in this influential genre of music. Some of the guests include Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, David & Tamela Mann, Sheléa (Quincy Jones' protégée), Christina Bell, Ericka Nicole Malone, and Angela Jollivette.
The concept for this town hall was envisioned by Dr. Glyne A. Griffith, II, SiriusXM's Senior Manager - Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and executed along with Melissa Chalos, Pandora's Senior Curator - Christian/Gospel Music, and Barry Garrison, Chair of Mixtape Dallas, SiriusXM's multicultural employee resource group. Griffith is not merely a casual fan of Christian/Gospel music but has experience in the areas of songwriting, marketing, performance, distribution, and performing rights. Griffith recently completed his Doctor of Business Administration degree, and his dissertation was entitled "The Utilization of Christian Music Artists as Celebrity Endorsers by Nonprofit Organizations."
"I am an unashamed advocate of Christian/Gospel music," says Griffith. "The impact and importance of this music are undeniable. This Gospel Goes Hollywood virtual town hall was absolutely phenomenal! The insights and perspectives that were shared perfectly encapsulated the value and necessity of the Gospel music genre. Sincere appreciation to the entire SiriusXM family for this platform, our esteemed guests, and SiriusXM's living legend, Joe Madison."
