Ginny Owens Retells the Hope of Easter with New Single

Singer, songwriter and author Ginny Owens drops her new single "Yet Not I But Through Christ in Me" today. The song, which speaks about what Christ has done for us via his death and resurrection, was written and first recorded by Australian church collective CityAlight.
For Owens, the song captures the message of the entire Easter weekend. She wrote, "Welcome to one of the two most significant days of the year for Christians. Have you ever thought about how the first Good Friday did not seem hopeful to anyone who followed Jesus?
"I'm always moved when I imagine just how bleak and dark that day was for Christ's followers and His family. And yet, His suffering was the only pathway to hope, His death the only way to eternal life. Good Friday also reminds me that God is a good God who works all sufferings for His glory and the good of those who love him. (Rom. 8:28) I pray you have a hope-filled Good Friday!
"I'm so excited to share a new song with you today, "Yet Not I But Through Christ in Me." The lyrics fit this significant weekend perfectly! I don't usually record songs I didn't write, but I love this one because of the beautiful way it tells the story of a Christian's hope. Would you give it a listen today? And if you like it, will you share it with a friend or two? Thank you!"
