'Guardians of the Galaxy' Marvel Release Date 2014, Cast Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel & Bradley Cooper, Watch New Trailer Teaser 2 (VIDEO)
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy had a 17-minute pre-screening in IMAX theaters on Monday and toofab's Brian Moreno was in attendance. Here is what he had to say (very slight spoilers), "Bradley Cooper is hilarious as Rocket, Vin Diesel steals the show with only three words and Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista are definitely forces to be reckoned with. We also get a look at Lee Pace's crazy transformation to play bad guy Ronan the Accuser -- as well as Michael Rooker's equally wild makeover for the character of Yondu."
Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the most highly anticipated American superhero films to release in 2014 and they have recently released their second trailer, which you can watch above. The film is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The highly anticipated summer movie is set for a release date of August 1, 2014 to hit movie theaters. Guardians of the Galaxy will be available in IMAX and 3-D.
Plot summary: In the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan. In order to evade Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a group of misfits including Gamora, Rocket, Drax the Destroyer and Groot. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy's fate in the balance.
Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker and Karen Gillan. The film is written and directed by James Gunn and produced by Kevin Feige. It is intended to be the tenth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Filming began in July 2013 at Shepperton Studios, England with filming continuing in London before wrapping up in October 2013.
