Apple iPhone 6 Due to Be Released September 26, 2014, With Two Versions of Differing Size Coming To The Market At The Same Time; Specs Include iOS 8, the A8 Chip, and 64 GB of Internal Storage
Rumors have been flying about the newest iPhone, popularly known as the iPhone 6, which has still not been officially confirmed by Apple. However, everyone knows that it's coming and even more exciting news has been leaked; namely, that the phone will release two versions. One version will be much smaller than the other, and their release dates will most likely be staggered so as not to hurt each other's sales.
Apple has done this once before already, when they released the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S. However, the two were launched simultaneously, and there have been mixed reviews about whether that decision helped or hurt Apple's sales. "While there is evidence to suggest that the balance of sales between the two handsets differed from Apple's expectations, the reason appears to be that more people than predicted chose to buy the more expensive model. Hardly a mistake," 9to5Mac tech journalist Ben Lovejoy stated.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the launch of the iPhone 6 will indeed be delayed, but it will be due to mechanical issues with the phone's coloring and touch panel sensitivity. As usual, Apple has released no comment on whether the iPhone 6 is even in production yet.
A new leak of a flyer announcing the release of the iPhone 6 has led analysts to predict that we can expect to see the phone sometime between September 19 and 26. Some of the reported specs for the phone include iOS 8, up to 64-GB of internal storage capacity, and the A8 chip.
