Moto 360 Android Smart Watch by Motorola Rumored to Be Released by the End of the Summer; Specs Confirm That This Will Top All Other Smart Watches in Design and Battery Life
Gadget lovers are eagerly awaiting the release of the Moto 360 Android smart watch. Motorola representatives have revealed that the watch will be available towards the end of this summer.
According to information that has been released by Motorola, the Moto 360 will sport either a leather or metal strap based on the wearer's preference, and rumor has it that even more style choices will be available once the watch has actually been released.
According to specs leaked for the watch, it will possess a 280 x 28p screen, or perhaps even bigger; it is hard to be exact judging by the videos that have been leaked onto the Internet. It will also sport a circular face, making it a wonder amongst smart watches that have been released so far.The screen will feature a custom OLED display, rather than the traditional LCD. OLED screens use about 40% less power with its mostly black watch face screensaver, helping conserve battery life. This will come in especially handy with a watch, given that no one will want to charge it before it has weathered a full day's wear.
The watch has a clever orientation-free design, making it wearable equally on both the left and right wrists.
As far as price goes, Motorola has released no official word, although they have dropped hints that it will be somewhere around $249. The Moto 360 runs on Google's Android Wear OS, and is therefore compatible with every Android 4.3 and 4.4 phone and tablet that also take advantage of Bluetooth 4.0 technology.
