Dolly Parton Records a Gospel Duet with Dionne Warwick

Dolly Parton has revealed that she has recorded a duet with Dionne Warwick. The new single "Peace Like a River" is a Gospel song written by Parton. The song will be released later this month.
Warwick broke the news during an appearance on the "Tamron Hall Show" on Tuesday. Parton, who Warwick called "such sweetheart," originally sent her a song she wanted Warwick to record.
"And then she sent me another song, the one that we're going to be doing as a duet," Warwick said. "It's a gospel song called 'Peace Like a River.' She wrote it." Warwick said of the duet, "I am very excited about this."
"I really am," she said. "I've done so many duets over the years, but this one's gonna be very special."
Meanwhile, Parton has also partnered with Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan, Go-Gos' Belinda Carlisle and Blondie's Debbie Harry for the new film theme song, which is coming out on Jan. 12. The song "Gonna Be You," written by Diane Warren, is from the forthcoming film, 80 for Brady.
"I wanted to write a song that celebrated these women's deep friendship," Warren said in a statement about the film. "Since 80 was in the title I got a crazy idea, why not get some of the most iconic singers from the 80s, who are still amazing and always will be, to all sing it?"
She added, "Everyone I approached said yes and was just as excited as me!"
The Kyle Marvin-directed film, set to be released on Feb. 3, follows the true story of four besties who go on a road trip to watch Tom Brady and the New England Patriots compete in Super Bowl LI.
