"Love Bomb" Weekend Raises Over $200,000 for Ukraine and Uganda Children in Need

Calvary Church's Reload Love ministry raised over $208,000 during its annual "Love Bomb" weekend (Feb. 11 and 12), with proceeds benefitting the ministry's 2023 highlighted project: children caught in the crossfire of the yearlong conflict in Ukraine and decade-long civil war in South Sudan.
Hundreds of people joined Calvary Church at their flagship campus to pack over 270,000 meals. With church partners and ministry supporters worldwide, Reload Love raised over $208,000, exceeding their goal to feed more than 1,400 children in Ukraine and Uganda every day for an entire year. Extra funds may be used for additional priority projects that emerge throughout the year as Reload Love responds to global crises.
"Love Bomb was a complete success thanks to a worldwide community marked by generosity and love for children victimized by terrorism," said Reload Love founder Lenya Hetizig. "Thank you to all who donated, prayed and volunteered. Thanks to you, we will be feeding over 1,400 children for a year. This is love come to life."
Under the leadership of founder Lenya Heitzig, Reload Love seeks to aid in-country partners in bringing hope to children who have been impacted by terrorism. Learn more about Love Bomb and Reload Love here.
