Here are What Some of our Favorite Christian Artists Have to Say about Easter
Is there any good news anywhere? The original Easter morning changed the world. But we wouldn't know anything about the itinerant rabbi, Jesus of Nazareth, had He not walked out of His own tomb. He would be a footnote to history. Here are what some of our favorite Christian artists have to say about Easter.
Cory Asbury:
HE IS RIZZEN.
But for real... Jesus loved us so much He took on flesh and came close. Submitted Himself to all the processes of life as a human and still never messed up. Then voluntarily hung on a cross and died for us after being so stressed out in the garden of Gethsemane that He literally sweat blood. He still submitted to the Father's will. As a man. And as God. Ridiculous. I've never known a kindness like His. V grateful this morning for a Humble King. Especially in a world where everyone's trying to get a leg-up. Thank you, Jesus, for showing us a better way.
kalley:
There's no more humble a King, no more magnificent a blood. It all hinges on Him. Because of Him I'll hold my daughter again. Because of Him she is kept where nothing ever spoils, fades or can be stolen. Because of Him I can continue in this life, and because of Him death has nothing to say to us, despite its best attempt. Overridden. Voided. He literally holds our hope forever. No one else could have accomplished this, no other blood could reunite me and my little girl, no other body could raise us to life with him and each other. And he said yes. My gratitude is bigger than words, my hope runs deeper than any tomb, his death and rising is stronger than any threat, shaming the grave and dismantling its power. These are not token words, they are everything I have. He holds it all. He is above, He is alive and He's so much better than the rest.
Anne Wilson:
So grateful for what a glorious day it is. Jesus is ALIVE & He is risen. What a beautiful time to celebrate this goodness!!! If you don't know Jesus, today is the day. He loves and adores you. He loves you so deep that He gave it all away for YOU. He died so that you could have abundant life. May you feel His love today and the depth of His sacrifice.
Seventh Day Slumber:
Jesus, Risen Savior, Seated in majesty. Philippians 3:10: "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death."
Fact: You will never understand resurrected power until you have experienced suffering. Just remember, there is something on the other side of your pain! Don't give up!
Yancy:
Happy Easter from my family to yours. I'm always grateful when a weekend like this affords me the opportunity to wear both my Mom and minister hat. We were able to do egg hunts and egg art yesterday, church this morning at @thebelongingconashville and now headed down to Huntsville for me to do a family concert tonight. Grateful for my boys and all the life we squeezed into this weekend celebrating the ultimate gift of life and freedom Jesus gave us!
The Erwins:
JESUS IS ALIVE!!
Happy Easter from The Erwins!
That's the power of an empty tomb
That's the miracle that love can do
Broken lives are mended just like new
That's the power of an empty tomb!
Phil Wickham:
The women came before the dawn
To find that stone already gone
When they looked inside the angel said
Why are you looking for the living among the dead
HE'S ALIVE! HE'S ALIVE!
HALLELUJAH, HE's ALIVE!
GIVE HIM PRAISE
LIFT HIM HIGH
HALLELUJAH, HE'S ALIVE!
Happy Easter Everyone! He is Risen!
Josh Baldwin:
This is resurrection day
The old life is gone
The new has come to stay
Sorrows of the past
Are turning into praise
This is resurrection day
Come and find a new beginning
The river of God is a river of healing
Where sins are washed
In a grave called baptism
Come and find a new beginning
We're alive with the One
Who is God's risen Son
Jesus Christ, Savior King
You have changed everything
Point of Grace:
Happy Easter! He is risen! We pray you have a wonderful day with your families celebrating the resurrection of our Savior!
