Meredith Andrews Reflects on Her Two New Songs "God of the Living" and "My Undoing"
Dove Award-winning artist Meredith Andrews has dropped not one but two new songs! Released on Curb Records, "God of the Living" and "My Undoing" are both available on all digital platforms now.
Andrews looks to the faithfulness of God in the past to depend on His faithfulness in the future on "God of the Living." The original selection calls on the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to deploy His same miraculous resurrection power in the here and now, guided by an undercurrent of piano and an impassioned vocal delivery from the beloved songstress.
Andrews reflects, "The very same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is living and breathing inside of us in the fullness of His power. He is the Resurrection and the Life, and everything He is has been transferred onto His children. We get to call the things that are not yet as though they were. We get to walk in the authority of the Holy Spirit, seeing life spring up and atmospheres transform by His very presence through us."
"God of the Living" was written by Meredith Andrews, Jacob Sooter, Mitch Wong, and Rebekah White Williams; and produced by Jacob Sooter.
Andrews also returns to the heart of what really matters on "My Undoing." The Dove Award-winning artist allows God to reconstruct the very foundation of her life in a pure moment of surrender throughout the lush, expectant offering that serves as both an honest confession and a prayerful submission. Inviting the listener into a time of intimate worship, "My Undoing" provides ample space for personal reflection and refinement.
Andrews reflects, "This song came in a season of unraveling for me...where the Lord was dismantling every false security and identity I had constructed over decades of striving, failing, posturing, and longing to be seen and accepted. There is so much beauty and healing in the undoing. He is a master at rebuilding from the ruins. You can listen to the song anywhere you stream music."
"My Undoing" was written by Andrew Holt, Jacob Sooter, Maggie Reed, and Meredith Andrews; and produced by Jacob Sooter.
